We've been working on a plant database for Plantilus.com. Lisa has provided the content and I did the programming. We just published our first batch of a few hundred plants. I use Clojure as my programming language for converting Lisa's data files into web pages. The open source library, Enlive, worked great for generating HTML from templates.
